And here&#39;s the exciting part: you have complete control over the habits you create and live into. For example, I realized that I slept too much. That even my weekends were spent &#39;going unconscious&#39; by sleeping in too late and taking long afternoon naps. I considered that perhaps I wasn&#39;t low in energy and tired. Perhaps I&#39;d just trained myself to expect more sleep. At that moment I decided I would never again be a lazy person who sleeps their life away. I set my alarm for 5am the next morning. Today is Sunday and guess what time my body naturally awoke this morning? You guessed it, 5am. And I&#39;m not even a bit tired.

Tomorrow I&#39;m starting boot camp training. I am obviously a little nervous at how tough it&#39;s going to be but I also realize that if I stick with it for just two weeks, I&#39;ll start to find it easier and easier. 

There are other habits I&#39;ve had to break: the habit of feeling sorry for myself, the habit to fall into depressive thinking when things don&#39;t go my way, the habit of turning to sugary foods when I feel overwhelmed or out of control.

Don&#39;t fall into the trap of thinking you can&#39;t change. Or thinking that the possibility for change lies outside of yourself. Change your habits and you will change your life.

Just think about the person you&#39;d ideally like to be... and then think about what kinds of habits this person would have. Assume these habits now. At first it will be difficult. You&#39;ll face all the mental resistance your mind can muster. Just ignore it. Keep your focus on who you want to be. And soon enough, these habits will be behaviors you practice without thinking. 

Changing your habits is the secret to becoming who you want to be in ANY aspect of your life.</description>
